she's always buzzin just like...NEON NEON

Neon has had a rail of bad luck lately. Thursday the 6th I finally got her back from Collision Auto Repair after a week of driving first, a Ford F150 (fun but...uncomfortable), and then the oh-so-ugly Pt Cruiser. Sorry to those who think they're old fashioned and chic, but I think they're awful. Anyway, I guess most of you don't know the reason for this little expedition that Neon made to the repair shop. A couple weeks ago, in the parking garage at work, someone didn't see me behind them and backed into me. I laid on my Neon's usually happy, friendly-sounding horn as frantically & angrily as I could, but of course to no avail. Poor Neon sustained injuries to the hood, bumper, and Dodge logo. I've included pictures of the traumatizing ordeal; poor Neon has taken some hits since being adopted by myself.
A couple years ago, Neon was involved in a freeway pile-up (ALSO NO FAULT TO THE OWNER) when traffic came to a sudden stop and the car behind me didn't, or couldn't, stop in time. They rammed into Neon's back bumper and propelled me into the car in front of me. Some of us were driven into the adjacent lane and I barely missed being side-swiped. But, Neon is happily back with me and she looks like a million bucks. Bright cherry red, shiny, sassy, smelling freshly clean, and with my Hawaiin flowers and shells draped over the rearview. She's an automaticfrontwheeldrivewithmanualwindowsandlocksexcellentradioreceptionandairconditioning, and that's about as far as my auto lingo goes! Ha ha! I love my car!

A day before Neon was due to be dropped off at the shop, the left rear wheel blew out on the freeway on my way to work. Don't know what happened, but that wheel was SHREDDED, I'm telling you. (shudder) Some luck, huh?

Anyone else excited for St. Patty's Day?

An Irishman's Philosophy

In life, there are only two things to worry about—Either you are well or you are sick. If you are well, there is nothing to worry about,

But if you are sick, there are only two things to worry about—Either you will get well or you will die. If you get well, there is nothing to worry about,

But if you die, there are only two things to worry about—Either you will go to heaven or hell. If you go to heaven, there is nothing to worry about.

And if you go to hell, you’ll be so busy shaking hands with all your friends you won’t have time to worry!

Some Irish Humor:

A Texan walks into a pub in Ireland and clears his voice to the crowd of drinkers. He says, "I hear you Irish are a bunch of hard drinkers. I'll give $500 American dollars to anybody in here who can drink 10 pints of Guinness back-to-back."

The room is quiet, and no one takes up the Texan's offer. One man even leaves.

Thirty minutes later the same gentleman who left shows back up and taps the Texan on the shoulder. "Is your bet still good?" asks the Irishman.

The Texan says yes and asks the bartender to line up 10 pints of Guinness. Immediately the Irishman tears into all 10 of the pint glasses, drinking them all back-to-back.

The other pub patrons cheer as the Texan sits in amazement. The Texan gives the Irishman the $500 and says, "If ya don't mind me askin', where did you go for that 30 minutes you were gone?"

The Irishman replies, "Oh... I had to go to the pub down the street to see if I could do it first."
